Mr. Hamid Kabani
Professional Career

Hamid Kabani is the president of the firm. Hamid is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of audit and accounting experience. Over the years, Hamid Kabani has acted as an engagement Partner, Technical Partner, quality control specialist and managed several public (including IPOs) and private clients at domestic and international level. Hamid Kabani's clientele includes public and private companies, ranging from start-up to the companies with over a billion dollars. Hamid Kabani was a part of high-tech audit group of Deloitte & Touche, LLP, a big four accounting firm, in a senior management role. Hamid was a member of National Manufacturing Industry practice sub committee on International Interface at Deloitte & Touche, with the idea of interfacing the information disseminated by the US Industry practice and other International offices around the world. Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche, Hamid worked with McGladrey & Pullen, a national accounting firm, as Quality Control Specialist for western region offices.

• In his capacity as quality control specialist, Hamid Kabani was responsible for making sure that all the Financial Statement (Public & private) on which an audit report is issued, adhered to requirements of GAAP, GAAS, and firm's internal quality standards.

Mr. Younus Kamran
Professional Career

Proceeded to England after graduation and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. On arrival in Pakistan in 1980, joined A. F. Ferguson and Company, (PWC) Chartered Accountants and in 1981 joined as partner with Girdezi & Co., Chartered Accountants up till 1982. Thereafter established own organizations of practicing Chartered Accountancy and management consultancy firm under the styles Kamran Associates, Kamran Sarwar & Co., Kamran & Viqar, Saeed Kamran Patel & Co, Kabani Saeed Kamran Patel & Co. and finally Kabani & Company.

• Kamran has more than 30 years of experience providing Business advisory, assurance, Tax and corporate finance services to clients of all sizes representing many industries and countries.

• Kamran is responsible for the firm’s multidisciplinary services to companies around the world and for the overall development of the practice.

Mr. Muhammad Yousaf
Professional Career

After Graduation in accounting, Yousaf joined a local Chartered Accounting firm for training and became associate member of public finance in 2002, Qualified as Chartered accountant in 2004.

• Yousaf Join Kabani & Co in 2006 and quickly gathered the skills and experiences necessary to assist both private and public clients achieve their financial goals.

• Yousaf has over ten years of public accounting experience.

• He leads the audit department of Pakistan office. Yousaf specializes in audits of US publicly traded company and is well versed with the PCAOB and the SEC rules.

• As leader of audit department for the Kabani & Co. Pakistan, he is responsible for the firm’s multidisciplinary services to companies and for the overall development of the practice which generates millions in annual fee income. He has substantial experience working with Kabnai & Co. partners and clients in Europe, China, India, Russia and the United States.

• Yousaf primarily serves a wide client base in the firm's Assurance and Advisory practice, Yousaf regularly consults with entrepreneurs on general business strategies, tax planning, and favorable exit strategy planning and execution.

Mr. Abid Hussain
Professional Career

Abid Hussain after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland in 1960 also became a member of the Institute of Chartered accountants of Pakistan. He later qualified as a Chartered Secretary and was largely instrumental in developing the profession in Pakistan. He has versatile experience of corporate entities.

• Abid has over 50 years of public accounting experience.

• He also worked for the large domestic groups like Pakistan automobile company, The Habib group, Admjee group. He now consults on an advisory basis and is involved in charitable activities.

• Mr.Hussain opted for a career in industry and worked for a multinational company M/s “Jame Finaly GEC & Philips”.

• He leads the Karachi office of Kabani & company. Abid specializes in audits of US publicly traded company and is well versed with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the SEC rules.

• As Head of Karchi office for the Kabani & Co. Pakistan, he is responsible for the firm’s multidisciplinary services to companies and for the overall development of the practice which generates millions in annual fee income.

Mr. HAROON AHMED ZUBERI
Professional Career

Haroon qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977 and offers more than 30 years of general management (CEO-15 years) and financial management (15 years) experience of manufacturing and leasing industries. His strengths include team leadership, strategic planning, cost control programs, productivity enhancement, tax planning, profitability improvement, accounting systems development, union negotiations handling, P&L management, and negotiation/lobbying with government. Some of the key positions he’s served in are as follows:

• Director Corporate Affairs at Sitara Chemical Industries Limited. Main achievements were development of new projects, reduced investment in stocks and spares, reduced financial cost by negotiating favorable lending rates, implemented SAP as project director.

• As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of General Tyre and Rubber Company Ltd he developed a strong team and increased production from 800,000 to 1,500,000 in a span of 4 years. In value terms the sales increased from RS 2.3 billion in 2002 to Rs 4.3 billion in 2006. He was also accredited for reducing production downtime and tyre claims. He is responsible for disciplining the most undisciplined labour force in Landhi Karachi area and increased productivity per man by 36%.

• Worked in Ghandhara Nissan Diesel as controller and was later promoted to GM Finance position. He also served as the company secretary. It was a new company with equity partners including Nissan Diesel Japan and Tomen Japan. He was responsible for developing computer based accounting, inventory and MIS systems. As a member of coordination committee was active in product price negotiation with Tomen as well as arrangement of financing.
